Art education has always seemed like the right fit for me as an individual. Ever since a young age I have known that my niche was with the arts and as I grew through middle school I discovered that as a person I was very empathetic and I loved being able to help people. I feel that there are so many ways that an educator can be the someone that impacts your entire life. While there may be little recognition in art education I know that personally I have had many educators that I reference to this day and I think that is so important. I want to be the reason someone knows how to shade while drawing or properly dispense paint without getting paint on themselves. There are so many little life skills that are taught within the art classroom that other areas do not really get to touch on. Knowing that as an educator I will see students grow throughout a minimum of 4 years is the true reason I want to teach art. The growth and the passion that follows development in the arts truly motivates me to achieve this goal in life.
